The Content Management section includes everything related to content such as adding a movie, adding subtitles, adding trailers, making content featured, deleting content, etc.
In this section (Admin Area > Content Management > Manage Videos/Content), admin can manage, edit, delete, moderate videos, artists, and playlists etc.
There are two major and mostly used video assets are categorized in our system. A process of uploading videos and series can be performed here.
Only Admin users or moderators can upload videos unless the system is UGC oriented. To upload a new movie, login to your website, choose your profile and after being redirected to the homepage, select upload from the right corner.
The upload page will by default go to upload file (movie) option.
Select upload and choose a video from the desired directory for uploading. Once the uploading is completed, select the edit icon on the right side to add movie details.
Clicking on the edit button with an icon of a pen would open a box with options to edit the video details such as Title, tags, categories, etc. The user can go to the backend for more editing options for that specific uploaded video and there you can add all other details about the video.
User can edit the video and add detailed information related to the video asset from this section.
You can add, edit, and manage the following attributes of the content from video settings:
One all the video editing details are added, you can watch the video from backend too.
Attaching Trailers is so easy. You can click on Attach Trailer and a new popup will open.
On attach trailer popup, you can search the trailer by the title of it to attach it to the video. While searching, the trailers uploaded in the trailers category will appear based on the letter you will enter in the search bar. After selecting the trailer, you can Attach it and end user can watch it on the front end.
The attached trailer will appear in this section. You can Detach Trailer. From the actions button, you can edit the trailer and watch the trailer.

Upload your subtitle files to show subtitles in this video. You can upload a maximum of 2 files, each file can be 100 KB in size. You can upload subtitles for videos of all durations under the Subtitles section.
You can upload the subtitle file in vtt format and select the language for which you are uploading the subtitles.
If the admin has enabled the comments for the video then the end user’s comments will be shown here. All comments on a video will be shown in this section. You can also delete the content from the red icon of trash on the right side.
You can also view names of the users who placed comments on the video well as the number of likes and dislikes on the comments.
This sections entails the details of the Video Asset as well as the Uploader Information. Following details in the screenshot would be shown to the user.
To select the Artist of the Video Asset, this section would help you in fewer steps. You can go to the Artist Section and then click on Add Artists on the top left to add artists. A small box would appear with the field of Artist Name and Artist Role.
User can search the artist name which are already entered in the system from Artist Manager section and then select the role to add the artist.
You can add more than one artist with the different roles. The added artist for the video asset would be listed in the Artist section and you can also delete the artists. The artists information would be shown to the end user on the frontend for each video.

This section enables you to add the title and description in other languages. You can add the title and description for different languages by just adding the title and description in respective language. If the user select that language let’s say Spanish, your added title and description would show to user in Spanish.
SEO Settings let you input the desired Meta Title and Description for each video manually.
Update and manage the thumbs of the video assets from this area. Clicking on thumbs and logo will redirect you to the following section where you can add the logo, regenerate the thumbs from the video automatically, and also you can upload from your system.
Changes made here would be reflected on frontend.
Note: Once you have performed the required editing throughout, you must click on Update Video Details to implement the changes successfully and Publish the video so it can be accessible for the end-users at the frontend.
Admin user or moderator can get the live streaming link in the required format and insert the link in the system.
To offer live streaming through Vodlix, the following steps are required.
Change the thumbs and logo of the relevant channel by clicking the thumbs section
Publish the video so it can be accessible for the end-users at the frontend.
This is how the Live streaming would show on the frontend.
You can add trailer video easily same as the video uploading process. The main difference is you just have to select the trailer category while the video editing process. Users can name the trailer category anything while creating categories so to add a video to the trailer category, search the category with the name of it.
The video will be added in the trailer category. The videos uploaded in the trailer category would be considered as trailers and they can be attached to any Video Asset from the Video Edit section.

Vodlix also gives an option to embed video from any third-party websites such as YouTube. You can click on upload, select embed video, insert the embedded link of video from any third party website, and add the duration then click on upload. The next interface will be appeared to add the titles, description, selecting the movie genre, etc. for Adding the Details of the Video.
You can also Add the Embedded Video from backend, Go to Content Management > Manage Videos/Content and click on Add Video button.
Add all the details of the video including Embed Code and then complete all the other details which we followed in the video Edit.

Once all the details are added, you can update the video details and publish the video.
