Multi-DRM for secure, encrypted streaming: Widevine, FairPlay and PlayReady, set up once in your admin.
Vodlix DRM, or digital rights management, protects premium video against piracy. Protected streams are encrypted, and the player has to obtain a licence from your DRM licence server before it can play them, so a copied stream is useless on its own. Vodlix supports the three systems rights holders ask for, Widevine, FairPlay and PlayReady, configured once in the admin. For OTT operators carrying licensed or exclusive titles, DRM is what studios and distributors require before they hand content over.
Protected streams stay encrypted in transit and play only once the player holds a valid licence.
Widevine, FairPlay and PlayReady cover web browsers, Apple devices, Android and smart TVs.
Referrer locks and domain lists stop your media files playing outside your platform.
Licensed per session.

Switch on Enable DRM under Settings, Video & Playback, and add the licence server URLs from your DRM provider: one each for PlayReady, Widevine and FairPlay, plus the FairPlay certificate. Protected streams stay encrypted between the CDN and the viewer, and the player requests a licence each time playback starts. If a licence cannot be obtained, the title does not play. Vodlix never falls back to unprotected delivery, so a misconfigured server cannot quietly expose your content.
Each device family trusts a different DRM system, which is why Vodlix supports all three. The web player checks the browser and requests the right licence on its own: FairPlay on Safari, Widevine on Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Widevine also covers Android, FairPlay covers iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, and PlayReady covers Windows and many smart TVs. Your team keeps one configuration, and viewers simply press play, with no plugins or extra steps. The Cast button is hidden on protected streams, so playback stays inside the licensed player.
DRM protects the stream, and Vodlix also protects the files behind it. Under Encoding & Security, Block Direct URL File Access refuses any request for your media that does not come from an allowed referrer, while the Allowed Domains and Blocked Domains lists decide which sites may load your videos. Media URLs can be signed, so a copied link expires instead of circulating. Combine this with geo fencing and package entitlements, and a title can be encrypted, region restricted and entitlement checked at the same time.
