For Broadcasters

Take Your TV Channel Live on Every Screen.

Launch a branded live TV service on the web, mobile, and smart TV apps. Bring the feed you already broadcast, add a programme guide, catch-up, and time shift, and earn from ads, subscriptions, or pay-per-view.

From signal to stream

Your Channel Is Already On Air. Now Put It Where Viewers Are.

Your audience no longer watches only through an aerial, a cable box, or a satellite dish. They watch on phones, laptops, and smart TVs, and they expect your channel to be there.

Vodlix takes the feed you already produce, whether an HLS stream, an RTMP push, or a UDP/MPEG-TS source, and turns it into a numbered channel on your own streaming service, with its logo, category, and age rating.

Everything Viewers Expect From Television.

A live stream is only half the job. Viewers expect to browse your lineup, check what's on, and never miss a programme.

Built for how people watch now

Nobody Misses the Start Anymore.

Viewers tune in late, get interrupted, and watch on their own schedule.

With time shift they pause a live channel and pick it up where they left off, or restart the programme from the beginning. With catch-up, last night's show is waiting in the guide. You set the recording window per channel, to match your rights.

One Channel. Every Screen.

Publish once and your channels play in the browser, in iOS and Android apps, and on Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Samsung, and LG smart TVs, with the guide on all of them.

Earn From Every Viewer.

Run channels free with ads, behind a subscription, or as pay-per-view events, and mix models across your lineup.

Your rights, enforced

Broadcast Only Where You Hold the Rights.

Sport, films, and acquired series come with territorial rights, and your streaming service has to respect them.

Allow or block countries per channel or per title with geo-fencing, protect streams with DRM, set age ratings and parental controls, and limit how many screens each account can watch on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most. Still unsure? Talk to our team.

What is an OTT platform for broadcasters?

An OTT platform for broadcasters is a streaming service that carries a TV channel over the internet instead of, or as well as, aerial, cable, or satellite. With Vodlix, a broadcaster runs its live channels, a programme guide, catch-up, and an on-demand library on its own website and in branded mobile and TV apps, and sells access directly to viewers.

Can I stream my existing TV channel 24/7?

Yes. A live channel on Vodlix plays from the stream you already produce: an HLS URL, an RTMP push received through the Flussonic integration, or a UDP/MPEG-TS source. The channel runs continuously, gets a channel number, and sits in your catalogue next to your on-demand titles.

Does Vodlix include an electronic programme guide (EPG)?

Yes. Add an XMLTV feed for the whole platform or for each channel, match each channel to its ID in the feed, and Vodlix shows now, next, and the week ahead on the web and, with a switch each, in the mobile and TV apps. See EPG.

Can viewers pause live TV or watch programmes they missed?

Yes. Time shift lets viewers pause, rewind, or restart the current programme and then return to live, and nDVR catch-up lets them play programmes that already aired from the guide. You set the window for each channel, and your stream origin needs to support DVR and catch-up playback.

Which devices can viewers watch my channels on?

Your website, iOS and Android apps, and TV apps for Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Samsung, and LG smart TVs. Viewers can also cast from their phone with Chromecast and AirPlay.

How can broadcasters make money with Vodlix?

Run free channels with server-side ad insertion through Publica or Aniview, sell subscriptions, charge pay-per-view for events, and package channels into bouquets. Each channel has its own model, so free and premium channels can share one lineup.

Can I restrict channels to the countries where I hold the rights?

Yes. Geo-fencing allows or blocks countries per channel and per title, and the CAS and user control manager enforces territory, age, and screen limits at the stream, not only in the interface. Premium streams can also be protected with DRM.

Can I offer on-demand programmes alongside my live channels?

Yes. Live channels and on-demand video are managed in the same content manager and shown in the same apps, so you can publish episodes, films, and highlights next to the channels they came from.

Will the service carry my brand or Vodlix?

Your brand. Vodlix is white label: your logo, colours, and channel artwork, on your own domain and in apps published under your name.

Can I deliver channels over my own managed network?

Yes. For operators running IPTV on a network they control, multicast support sends one copy of a channel to every receiver tuned to it, so the cost of a popular channel does not grow with its audience. See also IPTV.

Which Vodlix plans include live TV, and can I try it first?

Live streaming is included on the Professional, Business, and Enterprise plans; current prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page. To see your channels running before you commit, book a demo or start a 14-day free trial.
