Uscreen pricing starts at $49 a month on Starter. Growth is $149 a month plus $1.99 per subscriber, and App Essentials is $449 a month plus $0.99 per subscriber. Those are the figures on Uscreen's pricing page, read on October 27, 2026. Custom is quoted on request.

A creator launches with 80 members. The bill is $49.

A year later there are 2,000 members. On Growth, the bill is now $4,129 a month.

Nothing about the plan changed. The members did. The practical question is therefore not "what does Uscreen cost?" It is: "what will Uscreen cost at the size I expect to reach, and when does that number stop making sense?" This guide works that out with real figures.

What are Uscreen's plans and what does each include?

Uscreen has four plans: Starter, Growth, App Essentials and Custom. Starter has no subscriber fee but a 100-subscriber limit. Growth and App Essentials have no subscriber limit and charge a monthly fee per subscriber. Mobile apps start at App Essentials. Custom is priced by Uscreen's sales team.

Here is what Uscreen's plans-comparison page lists, read on October 27, 2026:

Starter runs on a Uscreen-branded domain. Growth adds a custom branded domain. App Essentials adds two mobile apps (iOS and Android), onboarding support and migration support, as the pricing page puts it.

The plans-comparison page also shows a second price beside the annual and monthly toggle: $199/mo for Growth and $499/mo for App Essentials. This guide uses $149 and $449, the prices the pricing page shows first.

Which Uscreen fees grow with your subscribers?

Two Uscreen fees grow as you grow: the per-subscriber fee on Growth ($1.99) and App Essentials ($0.99), and the fee on one-time sales and rentals (10% on Starter, 5% above it). Payment processing and app store fees sit on top. The base price is the only part that stays still.

The subscriber fee

This is the fee that decides your bill. Uscreen's help center says the fees are based on the number of subscribers accessing your platform. Each one adds $1.99 a month on Growth or $0.99 on App Essentials.

Uscreen labels App Essentials "cheaper than Growth above 300 members". The arithmetic agrees: $449 + $0.99 × 300 and $149 + $1.99 × 300 both come to $746.

The one-time sales and rental fee

If you sell rentals, single videos or bundles, Uscreen takes a share of each sale: 10% on Starter and 5% on Growth, App Essentials and Custom. The help center calls 5% Uscreen's standard TVOD fee. A $10 rental on Growth costs you 50 cents in platform fees.

Payment processing and app store fees

The plan price is not the whole cost. Uscreen's help center sets your earnings as net sales minus payment processing fees, handling fees and platform fees. It notes that app payment provider fees, charged on payments made through iOS or Android apps, are separate.

We could not read the schedule of fees article itself, so this guide leaves the processing percentages out. Ask Uscreen for the current rates before you sign.

Storage, live hours and TV apps

Growth and App Essentials include 100 hours of video storage and 1 hour of live streaming. Growth lets you add storage as you grow. TV apps are not on the self-serve plans: the comparison lists them as an optional add-on or custom.

What does Uscreen pricing come to at 500, 2,000 and 10,000 subscribers?

At the prices Uscreen lists today, 500 subscribers cost $1,144 a month on Growth or $944 on App Essentials. At 2,000 subscribers it is $4,129 or $2,429. At 10,000 subscribers it is $20,049 or $10,349. These totals are base price plus subscriber fees only, before payment processing and sales fees.

The formula is simple: base price + (subscribers × subscriber fee). Starter is left out because it stops at 100 subscribers.

Active subscribers

Growth ($149 + $1.99 each)

App Essentials ($449 + $0.99 each)

500

$149 + $995 = $1,144/mo

$449 + $495 = $944/mo

2,000

$149 + $3,980 = $4,129/mo

$449 + $1,980 = $2,429/mo

10,000

$149 + $19,900 = $20,049/mo

$449 + $9,900 = $10,349/mo

The subscriber fee becomes most of the bill

$1.99

300
Members above which App Essentials costs less
$10,349
App Essentials at 10,000 subscribers
$20,049
Growth at 10,000 subscribers

One worked example, so the shape is clear. A fitness channel charges $15 a month and has 2,000 members on App Essentials. Its revenue is $30,000 a month. Uscreen's plan and subscriber fees are $2,429, about 8% of revenue, before card processing.

At 10,000 members, the revenue is $150,000 and the Uscreen bill is $10,349. The share stays near 7%, because the fee grows with every member.

When does Uscreen's cost become a reason to switch?

The cost becomes a reason to switch when the per-subscriber fee is larger than the flat price of a platform that does the same job. For a channel that needs its own mobile apps, that point comes at about 1,112 subscribers against a flat $1,550 plan. Below a few hundred members, Uscreen's fee is small and switching rarely pays.

Three signs it is time to compare:

  • Your subscriber fees are now larger than your base price, and still climbing.

  • You need TV apps, and the add-on or Custom quote changes the total.

  • You sell rentals or bundles, and 5% of each sale has become a real line in your accounts.

If two of these are true, run your own numbers against a flat plan before you renew. Our Vodlix vs Uscreen comparison covers features side by side, and the guide to migrating from Uscreen shows what a move involves.

How does a white-label platform with your own apps compare on cost?

A white-label platform with a flat fee costs the same at 2,000 subscribers as at 10,000, so it costs less than a per-subscriber plan once you are large. At small sizes a per-subscriber plan can cost less. Vodlix offers both: flat plans, and Pay as You Grow plans billed per active subscriber.

Pay as You Grow is our plan billed per active subscriber: $0.99 a month for each paid subscription active in the billing period, with free trials not counted. Pay as You Grow (PAYG) comes in two forms. The web-only plan has no base fee. Pay as You Grow Apps adds iOS and Android apps for a $299 base fee. Prices are from Vodlix pricing, as of October 2026.

The web-only plan includes 250 GB of storage and 2 TB of bandwidth a month, sells subscriptions only, and has no apps or live streaming. After 3 billing periods it bills at least 30 active subscribers, which is $29.70 a month.

The flat plans have no per-subscriber fee. Professional is $1,550 a month with iOS and Android apps and live streaming. Business is $2,450 a month and adds Android TV and Fire TV apps.

Here are the same three sizes, for a channel that needs mobile apps:

10,000

$10,349/mo

At 500 subscribers, a flat plan costs more. Above about 1,264 subscribers, Professional's flat fee is lower than Pay as You Grow Apps, which is why our pricing moves a growing channel to Professional at around 1,000 subscribers.

The honest trade-off is in the allowances. Professional includes 5 TB of storage and 50 TB of bandwidth a month. Usage over that is metered at $0.01 per GB delivered and $0.05 per GB of storage a month, and each allowance has a 25% grace margin. Uscreen's comparison lists bandwidth as "Unlimited" on every plan, so a heavy-viewing channel should check its own numbers in the OTT pricing calculator.

On Vodlix you connect your own payment gateway, so card processing is between you and your gateway. You keep all of your subscription, rental and ad revenue. For the wider picture of how subscription, rental and ad models compare, see how to create OTT pricing models.

When is Uscreen the better fit?

Uscreen is the better fit when you have under a few hundred members, sell mostly on the web, and want community and marketing tools in the same product. At 100 members or fewer, Starter at $49 a month with no subscriber fee is hard to beat, and it includes 1 hour of native live streaming.

Choose Uscreen if:

  • You are under 100 members and want to start on Starter.

  • Community features and built-in marketing automations matter more to you than a flat cost.

  • You expect to stay below about 1,112 members with mobile apps.

Choose a flat-fee white-label platform if:

  • You have, or expect, thousands of subscribers.

  • You want TV apps on a published price.

  • Rentals and one-time sales are a large part of your revenue.

If you are still weighing the field, our list of Uscreen alternatives judges each option by the same criteria.

Questions to ask any video platform before you sign

Ask every vendor the same five questions, in writing, so you compare totals and not headline prices. The answers turn a pricing page into a monthly bill you can forecast at 500, 2,000 and 10,000 subscribers.

  1. What do I pay per subscriber, and how is a subscriber counted?

  2. What share do you take on rentals, bundles and one-time sales?

  3. Which payment processing and app store fees come on top?

  4. What do storage, bandwidth and live hours cost past the plan?

  5. What do TV apps cost, and are they on a published price?

What to do next

Write down your subscriber count today and in 12 months. Put both into the Uscreen formula above, then into our OTT pricing calculator with your expected viewing hours. The gap between the two is your answer.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Uscreen cost per month?

As listed on Uscreen's pricing page on October 27, 2026, Starter is $49 a month with a 100-subscriber limit. Growth is $149 a month plus $1.99 per subscriber, and App Essentials is $449 a month plus $0.99 per subscriber. Custom is quoted by Uscreen. Payment processing and fees on one-time sales come on top of these prices.

Does Uscreen charge per subscriber or take a share of revenue?

Both, depending on the plan. Growth charges $1.99 and App Essentials $0.99 per subscriber each month, while Starter has no subscriber fee. On one-time sales and rentals, Uscreen takes 10% on Starter and 5% on Growth, App Essentials and Custom, per its plans-comparison page read on October 27, 2026.

What are some good alternatives to Uscreen?

The right alternative depends on your size and what you sell. Channels with thousands of subscribers often compare flat-fee white-label platforms, which include their own apps without a per-subscriber charge. Vodlix offers flat plans and Pay as You Grow plans billed per active subscriber. Compare each option by its total monthly cost at your expected subscriber count.

What does Uscreen do?

Uscreen is a video membership platform. It lets creators and media businesses sell subscriptions, rentals and bundles of video, run native live streams, and add community and marketing tools. Its App Essentials plan adds iOS and Android apps, and TV apps are offered as an add-on or on its Custom plan.

Is there a free trial?

Uscreen's pricing page offers a free trial on Starter and Growth, while App Essentials and Custom start with a conversation with its team. Vodlix offers a 14 Day Free Trial: self-serve sign-up asks for a payment card, and the card is not charged during the 14 days. A trial without a card is available by booking a call.

At what size does Uscreen App Essentials cost more than a flat plan?

App Essentials costs $449 a month plus $0.99 per subscriber. Against a flat $1,550 plan with mobile apps, such as Vodlix Professional, the two meet at about 1,112 subscribers. Above that, the per-subscriber fee makes App Essentials the larger bill. Check bandwidth allowances on the flat plan before you decide.
