Viewers add credit once with a card, PayPal or mobile money, then rent and buy titles from their balance. You set the top-up packages, the payment gateways and, if you like, your own currency.
A wallet for your streaming platform gives every viewer a prepaid balance. They add money once, then spend it on rentals, purchases and subscription plans without entering payment details each time. Credit arrives in three ways: a top-up through one of your payment gateways, a gift card, or a refund you send back as wallet credit. This suits pay-per-view and hybrid services, markets where few people pay by card, and audiences who prefer to pay in small amounts. The wallet is part of Vodlix on the Scale plan and above.
Top up once, spend on many rentals.
Fixed amounts that you choose.
Price rentals in Coins or Credits.
Each viewer has a wallet page that shows the current balance and every transaction on it. Top-ups and refunds appear as credits, and rentals and purchases as debits, each with its date and reference number. A Top up wallet button sits next to the balance, so adding credit is always one step away. Viewers can check what they spent without contacting your support team.
Viewers top up their wallet by picking one of the packages you set, such as $5, $10, $20 or $50. They pay through a payment gateway you allow for top-ups, and the amount is added to their balance. Fixed amounts keep checkout short and make small top-ups practical. The same page has a Redeem voucher tab, so a gift card can add credit to the wallet too.
When a viewer rents a title, the checkout shows their wallet balance next to your other payment methods. Buy from wallet pays for the rental straight from the balance, so there are no card details to type. Top-up wallet takes them to the top-up packages if they want to add more first. Wallet credit pays for pay-per-view and TVOD rentals and purchases, and for subscription plans on the plans page.
You can replace dollars with your own currency for rentals and purchases, such as Coins, Gems or Credits. You choose the name, an optional symbol and the rate, for example 100 Coins for $1. Viewers buy Coins through your top-up packages and spend them on titles. You can also add bonus Coins to the bigger packages to encourage larger top-ups.
You set up the wallet in the Payments area of the Vodlix admin. Turn top-up packages on, add or remove packages, and pick which payment gateways viewers can use to top up. Gateways that support wallet top-ups include Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.Net, Rapyd, Pay.nl, PayGate, Flutterwave, Paystack, Tingg, ClickPesa, Selcom and QPay, which covers cards, bank apps and mobile money. Multi-currency top-up lets viewers pay in their own currency while the balance stays in your base currency, with the rate recorded on the invoice. See every provider on payment gateway integrations.
Your team can open any viewer in the admin and see their wallet balance and full ledger: top-ups, rentals, purchases, gift cards and refunds, each with its amount and date. Topup User Wallet adds credit by hand, for example as a goodwill gesture. When you refund a rental in the Orders Manager, you can send the money back as wallet credit, which is instant and carries no gateway fee.
