TVOD Platform FAQs
What is the difference between TVOD and SVOD?
With TVOD (transactional video on demand) viewers pay per title, to rent or to buy. With SVOD they pay a recurring fee for the whole library. Vodlix supports both, separately or together.
Can viewers buy a title to keep?
Yes. Each title has a price and rental hours. Setting the rental hours to zero turns the sale into permanent ownership.
Can I take pre-orders before a film is released?
Yes. Mark a pay-per-title release as available for pre-order with a page, a trailer and a date. The media can arrive later, and you can see how many viewers pre-ordered and when.
Can other studios sell through my platform?
Yes. The Partner Manager gives content partners their own login to upload titles and view analytics, with a revenue model, payouts, invoices and a ledger for each partner.
Which plans include rentals and purchases?
